Each Egyptian facility is obligatory committed by the environmental law No. 4 for the year 1994 to have the environmental register. ER is used to register the impact of the facility activities on the environment.

“Pursuant to the provisions of this Law, the owner of an establishment shall keep a written register to record the impact of his establishment activities on the environment.”
                                                                                                            Article 22, Law No.4 for the year 1994
